SW Sugar Mills Limited was incorporated in 1986. The mill focus is on manufacturing high food grade refined white sugar. Located in Central Punjab, SWSML has state-of-the-art plant equipped with baggase-based boilers. We extract a plenitude quantity of by-products from the sugar production process; bagasse, molasses and press mud. Our mission is to produce sugar that is pure, natural, and delicious, while also protecting and preserving the environment and resources that make our business possible.
We are committed to manufacturing high quality sugar products, while also promoting sustainable agricultural practices and supporting our local farming communities. We believe in creating an eco-friendly and sustainable environment where we operate due to which we have a zero-waste usage of our by-products. Baggase is used in power generation, molasses and press mud is used as a fertilizer by farmers.

Trash Mulcher
The company has also provided a free of cost Trash Mulcher to growers. This is often used after the harvesting of sugarcane from the months of November to March. Trash mulcher helps in the residue management of sugar cane. It is chopped into fine pieces by the equipment and has many benefits to the agricultural land. The mulcher aids in conserving soil moisture, overall improving soil health, providing plant nutrients, and suppressing weed growth in an eco-friendly manner, hence increasing efficiency and productivity.

Harvesting and Extraction
The sugar cane is harvested from the fields and transported to the mill for processing. The first step is to extract the juice from the sugar cane by crushing it in large mills. The juice is then filtered to remove any impurities.
Clarification and Crystallization
Clarification and Crystallization
The extracted juice is then boiled to remove any excess water, which leaves a thick syrup. The syrup is then further purified through a process called clarification, which removes any remaining impurities. Once purified, the syrup is boiled again to create sugar crystals. The crystals are then separated from the liquid and dried.

The sugar crystals are packaged in two types (industry use and home use). Once packaged, the sugar is shipped to various distribution channels, including grocery stores, food manufacturers, and other businesses that use sugar as an ingredient.
